What are you thankful for?

When it seems like there are worries in our day and troubles in our lives, it is refreshing to happen upon Thanksgiving to stop and think about all we are thankful for.

Family for one; the people you know have your back no matter what. The people you trust to be there 100% and you never doubt it. The ones you know would rescue you from any silly little trouble you are in or any daunting issue you have that will take years to endure. Family first, definitely.

Friends for another; they keep us balanced and help us to stay happy and healthy. Some we keep in touch with daily, others only a few times a year but, it is so wonderful each time you get together.

I am thankful for my husband and his continuous strength. He leads our family and provides solid direction for us. I am thankful for my children and for the young adults they are becoming. I appreciate the blessings we have received.

What are you thankful for?

Who has made a difference in your life this year?

When does time begin to fly?

We have heard the saying time flies, especially as we grow older. Time flies when we are having fun, it flies when we are running late, it seems to fly when we would really rather have it crawl . . . but every year it seems to fly around November and December and the holidays seem to fast-forward us into the new year. As a kid I remember the months seeming to go on forever and enjoying everything we did as kids. As adults it seems we rushed around trying to get our kids to all of their outings, performances and such and hurried our way through the holiday months. Now that the nest is empty, we should have more time. It isn't flying quite as fast, but we still aren't able to slow it to the pace we would like; so we just roll with it for now. After all, the kids are back for the holidays and we like it like that.

It's all new

I am finally figuring out how to do this. I am not sure there will be much worth reading for a while.
Stay tuned . . .
